Fall Activities

Here is Miguel at a soccer game. Soccer kept us pretty busy September and October with 2 practices a week and a game every Saturday.

Here is Hannah and Alex at Mommy's cousin Brad's wedding. That is cousin Jesse in the picture with them.

Ethan and Miguel dancing it up at the reception.

The bride and groom getting ready to stuff cupcakes in each other's faces.

Let's party....don't you see how "cool" Miguel thinks he is with his gangster symbol...he thinks he's a rock star (in his just like Grandpa shirt...somehow that just ruins the rock star image).

Those of you that have been waiting for Halloween pictures will be very disappointed....Mommy forgot to take some. We were Mario and Luigi this year. Just close your eyes and imagine it...we looked cute. But we do have a picture of all our jack o lanterns.

Here they are all lite up.

Defiance County Fair - 2011

In the wheel of the monster truck under the grandstand.

Alex with his tractor pull ribbon.
Miguel going down the big slid on the midway. His favorite ride this year.
Alex and Hannah riding the elephants.
Ethan and Miguel going crazy in the crazy house.

Miguel in the Mutton Bustin. He said he didn't like the way the sheep's hair felt and he isn't doing it next year. At least he gave it a try.

Mexico Pictures....Finally

We've only been back a month....but maybe it is time to finally update the blog!!!!!

Playing soccer .....um....futbol with the neighbor kids.

It rained every day we were there except the first day. And it was chilly...at least for how we packed...in the 60's ....should have brought more jeans.

This is the shower Nacho installed for his parents while we were there. Now they don't have to shower with buckets.

All the kids loved wearing sombreros for a couple days. Had to take a picture with Grandpa.

The sink and cabinet Nacho and his brother installed in the kitchen.

The hot water heater....it was wood burning....I didn't know they made those until our last trip down there....very good idea. Hot water without the electric or gas bill.

My Mother in Law now has her first kitchen stove. I even tried out the oven while we were there....Nacho turned 30 that Wednesday and the kids and I baked him a cake.

Taking a break from his working vacation.

The kids tried their hand at making tortillas.

Installing all the plumbing.

Soccer

Alex was not too impressed with Soccer. He was more interested in going to McDonald's for supper and started begging to leave about 2.5 seconds after we arrived at the park.

Here is one of the scrimmages. They play in 5 minute time slots. Miguel's coach did a good job of making sure the kids got equal playing time.

Warming up before practice. Coach said roll the ball around your foot 10 times. Let me know when you are done........I don't think any of the kids counted...they would have rolled that ball around their legs forever!!!!

The Nest

The mamma bird....daddy bird was further down the road.

We have a bird that decided to make a nest at the end of the driveway. Luckily we are nice people and we will try not to run over the egg...but we make no promises.

Easter

Happy to have candy

Alex was a little slow getting out of bed.

Alex getting a turn playing the IPad at Grandma's.

February

Here's Alex digging into the presents on his birthday.

I can't believe my baby turned 3.

My two special Valentines.

Look what the boys did for me for Valentine's Day. (ok Daddy helped) They had supper going when I got home and everything.

January

Grandma and Grandpa took Ethan and Miguel to the power Ohio show in Columbus. So while they were gone Alex broke into their house to play with the new power wheels tractor. I think he got to be the first one to ride it!

We also took the boys to Imagination Station. We went on a weekday afternoon and pretty much had full run of the place. There was a couple homeschool groups and one school field trip but nothing overwhelming. So we didn't have to wait to do anything. It was great and the kids had a good time.

Christmas and Pedal Pull

Here are the boys with their ribbons and chocolate milk after the pedal pull in the mall. Miguel was just shy of a full pull and Alex couldn't quite reach the pedals. Maybe next year!

Here is Alex opening presents at Grandma's.

Miguel and Ethan opening their loot.

Alex helping to make Tamales on Christmas Eve.

Getting ready to open the first presents on Christmas Eve.....you know it is PJ's....that's all Mom and Dad know how to buy....when does Santa get here?
